Your TV→Crescendo Me transmitter→Crescendo Me headphones

Setup

Get TV sound in four steps.

Optical is recommended. Use only one TV audio connection.

Step 1

Power the transmitter.

Use the included cable and adapter.

Connect power

Connect USB-C to the transmitter and the included adapter.
Plug into a wall outlet. Slide power to ON.

Success: the transmitter lights turn on.

No lights? Reseat both cable ends, then try another outlet.

Step 2

Choose one TV audio output.

Look at the labels on the back or side of your TV.

Using a soundbar? Complete headphone setup first. Then connect the matching passthrough output.

Which TV output do you have?

Tap a connection to reveal its cable, switch position, and video.

Connect with Optical

Remove both protective caps.
TV OPTICAL OUT → transmitter OPT 1.
Set SELECT INPUT to OPT/AUX.

Next: choose Optical output and PCM on the TV.

Connect with HDMI ARC

Use the TV port labeled HDMI ARC or eARC.
Connect it to transmitter HDMI ARC 1.
Set SELECT INPUT to HDMI ARC.

Next: choose HDMI ARC/Receiver, turn eARC off, and select PCM.

Connect with AUX / 3.5 mm

TV HEADPHONES / AUDIO OUT → transmitter AUX 1.
Set SELECT INPUT to OPT/AUX.
Raise TV volume.

Next: choose Headphones output. PCM is not required.

Step 3

Set the TV audio output.

Use your TV remote. Match the settings to your cable.

Optical / HDMI ARC: choose PCM. Dolby, DTS, Bitstream, or Auto may cause silence.

Step 4

Listen.

Connect the headphones to the base.

Join the base

Move the headphone switch to Base.
Keep the headphones near the transmitter.
Wait for solid blue, then raise the volume.

Success: solid blue and TV sound.

No sound? Recheck the input selector, TV output, playback, and PCM.

Bluetooth TV setup

Connect directly to the TV.

For TVs with Bluetooth audio output.

Start pairing

Switch to Bluetooth. If needed, hold ⏯ for 3 seconds.

Select Crescendo Me

Choose it from the TV Bluetooth audio list.

Check the light

Solid blue means connected.

Success: solid blue and TV sound. For better lip sync, use the transmitter kit.

Fix a problem

Match what you see.

Each fix includes the expected result and a recovery path.

Transmitter has no lights

Use the included USB-C cable and 5 V / 1 A adapter.
Plug the adapter into a wall outlet and slide the transmitter to ON.
Reseat both cable ends; then try another known-working outlet.

Expected: transmitter indicators light. If still dark, submit a ticket and include a photo of the power connection.

Headphones say connected, but no TV sound

Start active TV playback.
Match SELECT INPUT to the connected cable.
Choose that audio output on the TV.
Set digital audio to PCM; disable eARC for HDMI ARC.
For AUX, raise the TV headphone volume.

Optical port is already used by a soundbar

TV Optical Out → transmitter OPT 1.
Transmitter OPT 2 → soundbar Optical In.
Set SELECT INPUT to OPT/AUX and the TV format to PCM.

Expected: both headphones and soundbar play stereo audio.

TV has HDMI, but not HDMI ARC

A regular HDMI input cannot send TV audio to the transmitter. Use Optical or AUX. HDMI ARC passthrough works only with ARC; eARC is not supported.

Expected: sound after switching to a supported TV output and matching transmitter input.

Headphones will not connect to the base

Confirm the transmitter is powered on.
Move the headphone switch to Base, not Bluetooth.
Keep the headphones close to the base and power-cycle both devices.

Expected: headphone LED changes to solid blue.

Personalized Hearing Profile

Tune the left and right ears separately.

Download the Avantree app
Choose the store for your phone.

iPhone / iPad ↗Android ↗
Pair the headphones with your phone
Set the headphones to Bluetooth. In your phone’s Bluetooth list, tap Avantree Crescendo Me.

Look for: flashing red + blue before pairing, then solid blue.
Add Crescendo Me in the app
Open the black Avantree app. Tap Activated Bluetooth device found → Crescendo Me → Connect.
Start the hearing test
Tap Crescendo Me → Custom Hearing. Follow the prompts for your left ear, then your right ear.

Done: your profile is saved to the headphones and stays active after setup.

Daily use

Personalized sound, controls, charging, and expansion.

Choose a listening mode

Press the EQ button once to switch between:

Balanced → Natural sound
Voice Clear → Clearer TV dialogue

Personalized profile: use the Avantree app section above to tune the left and right ears separately.

Charge the headphones

Use the powered dock or USB-C. Solid red means charging; the light turns off when full (about 2.5 hours).

Use headphones with PC / Phone

Move the headphone switch to Bluetooth.
Check that the LED flashes red + blue. If it does not, hold ⏯ for 3 seconds.
On your PC or phone, turn on Bluetooth and select Crescendo Me.
